✺ You miss play.

In each container I have laughed, played, cried, howled, and transmuted my grief through movement. Che Che is such an attuned, caring and thought provoking teacher, guide and space holder. I am forever grateful for the medicine, soothing balm, and radically transformative space that is Hot Bodies.

- Simone V

Hot Bodies feels like a sacred and expansive collective movement ritual. As a facilitator, Che Che creates a compassionate and inspiring container, honoring each person’s autonomy and inviting authentic connection to individual and collective movement. Each time I’ve participated, I have felt absolutely transported into a world of fluidity, shapeshifting, shedding, and embodied magic!

Maybe you miss yourself...

Maybe somewhere along the way, movement became something to "get right."

Something to look good doing.
Something to achieve.
Something to perfect.

Maybe you've gotten so good at performing that you've forgotten what it feels like to fully express your aliveness in an unrehearsed, uninhibited way.

Maybe some part of you misses yourself.

The version of you who moved because music entered your body and asked for somewhere to go.

Who knew that pleasure, grief, joy, rage and aliveness all belonged.

Hot Bodies is a place to practice returning.

Back to sensation.
Back to curiosity.
Back to movement that doesn't need to be impressive.
Back to the strange, beautiful experience of having a body around other bodies.

No dance experience necessary.

No choreography to memorize.

No pressure to be hot, cool, productive or good.

Just movement prompts, music, curiosity and permission.

What if...

What if liberation wasn't just an idea, but something we practiced together?

What if your body was never a project?

What if ungovernable erotic aliveness and power was already within you?

The Details...

What makes Hot Bodies Different?

✺ Queer-centered

This space is created for queer humans, not as an afterthought. You don’t have to translate yourself, shrink yourself, or wonder if you belong.

Gap it fills: Many movement spaces default to cisheteronormative culture.

✺ No Choreography

There are no steps to learn and nothing to get “right.” You move how you feel, not how you’re told to look.

Gap it fills: Many dance classes prioritize skill, appearance and outcome.

✺ Community without Neurotypical Expectations

You’re together, but you don’t have to talk, partner, or perform socially. Shared presence alone is enough.

Gap it fills: Social events can feel overwhelming; classes can feel isolating.

✺ This space is erotically alive.

Pleasure and er0tic expression are welcome.

Gap it fills: Many spaces either suppress the erotic or oversexualize bodies.

✺ Permission to Be Weird

Unpolished movement, awkwardness, silliness, and raw expression are not just allowed, they’re celebrated.

Gap it fills: Many classes perpetuate respectability culture and pressure to look composed.

✺ Facilitated Container (Not a Free-For-All)

You’re supported throughout with gentle guidance, music curation, and clear group agreements.

Gap it fills: Some “free movement” spaces can feel unsafe or too chaotic.

✺ Practice for Liberation, Not Productivity

Nothing to achieve. Nothing to improve. Nothing to optimize.

Gap it fills: Capitalism’s pressure to perform and produce.

The Origins of Hot Bodies...

High-masking Autistic person. Competitive gymnast and dancer. Precision. Perfection. My body became something to get "right" so I could be loved.

Somewhere along the way "hot" and "desirable" got tangled up with "worthy."

And eventually I wasn't just performing on stages, I was performing everywhere.

Forcing eye contact. Suppressing my natural states of being. Holding my body in shapes I thought people would want.

This led to extreme exhaustion. Anxiety. Burn out. So I started slowly unlearning.

Unlearning performance as the only way to be desired. Unlearning the idea that my pleasure had to look a certain way. Finding my way back to the messy, honest, unrehearsed truths of my body.

Performance can be a powerful art form and tool of survival. And, I needed to cultivate more choice (in safe-enough spaces) around when to soften or let go of performance.

This is why I created Hot Bodies. A space for queer community to move in a room that lets you be real. Bring your multitudes. All of you is welcome here.

Come as you are...

You do not need to arrive outgoing, flexible or fearless.

You can arrive awkward.

You can arrive grieving.

You can arrive hopeful.

You can arrive exactly as you are.

We'll begin there.
